The short version
Oil Director does not collect any data about you. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no network connection. Everything the game knows about you stays on your iPhone.
What we collect
Nothing. There is no server behind this app. We, the developer, receive no information about you, your device or how you play.
In App Store Connect terms, Oil Director declares Data Not Collected across every category.
What the app stores on your device
The game writes the following to the app's own private storage area on your iPhone:
- Your saved companies. Company names, cash, reputation, countries, licences, fields, facilities, contracts, staff, market history, tutorial tips you have seen and the current date in the game. Each company is a separate save file.
- Your settings. Your haptics preference.
This data never leaves the device. It is not transmitted, backed up to our servers, shared or sold, because there are no servers and no third parties.
If you have iCloud Backup or an encrypted local backup turned on for your iPhone, iOS may include the app's files in that backup. That backup is between you and Apple, and is covered by Apple's privacy policy, not ours.
Permissions the app requests
None. Oil Director does not ask for the camera, microphone, photos, location, contacts, notifications, health data, Bluetooth or local network access.
The game triggers haptic feedback, which can be turned off in Office › Settings. It does not require a permission prompt and does not record anything.
Tracking and advertising
Oil Director does not track you across apps or websites, does not use the App Tracking Transparency framework, contains no advertising SDKs and includes no third-party analytics or crash-reporting libraries. There is no IDFA use and no device fingerprinting.
Purchases
There are no in-app purchases and no subscriptions. If you bought the app on the App Store, that transaction is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details, and we do not receive your name, email address or billing information from Apple in connection with your purchase.
Children
Oil Director is rated 4+ and is safe for children. Because the app collects no data at all, it collects no data from children. It contains no chat, no user-generated content, no links out to the web and no advertising.
How to delete your data
Deleting a saved company from the start screen removes that save file from your device. Deleting the app removes all of the app's data, including every save and your settings. Because nothing is stored anywhere else, that is a complete deletion.
Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA and the CPRA give you rights to access, correct, delete and port your personal data, and to object to its processing. We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to access, export or delete on your behalf. All of the app's data is already in your hands, on your device.
We do not sell or share personal information, as those terms are defined under California law.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app ever collects data, this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described in the App Store release notes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
